I was discussing with my girlfriend the other day, we both have issue with Peach in the mario movie, cause she has the wrong personality

and I realized the reason why is, in movies, if a woman is a competent leader/does shit herself, she's gotta be hotheaded and cool and badass and etc.

like, a real girlboss type. but peach could just as easily be a competent leader and someone who goes and gets stuff done herself while being as demure and polite and softspoken as she is in the games. in fact that's exactly how she is in any of the games where she's playable

but in a big movie, they'd never do that. they never cross that simple barrier of feminine = incompetent/incapable. so thats why peach seems like such a completely different character

it boggles my mind sometimes just how much time and thought people report dedicating to sexual stuff, like, I didn't even realize masturbation was a thing people could do or want to do until I was 17, the thought just literally never crossed my mind, and still just never does besides knowing it exists

like I see people talking about it as this urge or that they gotta do it every day and such or people have sex every single day and I'm just like. when would you ever have time for this. like I know I'm asexual and biased obviously but I struggle to even imagine when you could fit it into the day, like I'd always rather be doing something else like working on projects or playing video games or riding my bike or literally anything. I have no time I could ever fit these things into lol

it factors so very little into my life that I struggle to even conceptualize how it could be so important to someone else, and yet it seems to be that important to most people around me lol
